Mahmoud Refaat

Mahmoud Refaat is the the Secretary General of the World Forum on Peace and Security. He is an international lawyer and international relations expert (foreign policy advisor). He is the C.E.O. of the Global Consulting International Group, based in London, UK; President of the European Institute of International Relations, based in Paris, Brussels, and Stockholm; Secretary General of the Global Forum on Peace and Security, based in Washington, D.C. and Stockholm, Sweden; and Editor-in-Chief of The International Gazette, based in London, UK. He is also a writer (member of the British Association of Journalists (BAJ) and the National Union of American Writers (NWR) in New York).
Mahmoud Refaat Studied law and international relations at Ain Shams University in Egypt, University of Paris, University of Pantheon Assas and University of Toulouse in France.
In January 2006, Mahmoud Refaat Founded the Global Consulting International Group (GCGI) in London, UK as an independent global advisory firm dedicated to help companies and governments to manage changes, mitigate risk and resolve disputes: financial, legal, operational, regulatory, and transactional.
In October 2009, Mahmoud Refaat Founded the European Institute for International Law and International Relations (EIIR) as policy institute in Paris and in 2010 extended it to Brussels, Belgium and opened its gates in Stockholm, Sweden in 2021 where is its actual head-quarter. The Institute is composed of more than fifty professors of law, political science, sociology and history at American and European universities as well as large number of former decision makers from Europe and United States.
In February 2010, Mahmoud Refaat founded the daily newspaper The International Gazette in London, United Kingdom as an international comprehensive journal with 3 languages, English, French and Arabic.
In January 2018, Mahmoud Refaat led the presidential campaign of former Egyptian Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Sami Anan during 2018 Egyptian presidential election and he was also nominated to the position of vice-president of Egypt for foreign affairs.
In May 2018, Refaat founded the International Action Group for Peace in Libya with former Libyan Prime Minister Omar Al-Hassi aiming to put an end to civil war in Libya.
In March 2019, Refaat launched the Humanitarian Action Group for Yemen through the European Institute for International Law and International Relations, due to the Yemeni Civil War. The group also works closely with the international community to try to end the war in Yemen and to prosecute the actors in the Yemeni Civil War.
Nomination for Nobel Peace Prize, Refaat was nominated for peace prize of Nobel two times by set of university professors from different countries and the former member of the European Parliament Mr Klaus Buchner for his efforts of peace in Yemen, Libya and Syria also for his rule of making humanitarian aides to reach victims of wars in these countries.
In 2018, Refaat was nominated for Nobel Peace Prize member of the European Parliament Mr Klaus Buchner for working to help victims of the conflicts in Syria, Yemen and Libya, also his engagement to activate the role of international law in Libya as well as for the rule of The European Institute for International Law and International Relations in enhancing International Law to make Peace in International Community.
In 2019, Refaat was nominated for second time for Nobel Peace Prize by former prime minister of Libya Omar Al-Hassi with several of university professors from different countries for working as volunteer for the peace in Libya and the role he played in Libya on political, legal and International levels in order to put an end to the armed conflict.
In 2022, Mahmoud Refaat founded The World Forum on Peace and Security in Stockholm, Sweden.
The organization aims to host a gathering of world leaders, decision-makers, directors of big manufactures and heads of international organizations, as well as leaders from the civil society and the private sector and thousands of individuals from around the globe, on creating forms of collective action.
The World Forum on Peace and Security aims to enable decision-makers around the world to find a direct and indirect solutions for the world peace and world security, in particular in the conflict areas.
Through thousands of experts as Political Science and International Law Professors, former diplomats, elected members of democratic parliaments.. etc. the World Forum on Peace and Security suggests the pacific solutions to be adapted in order to avoid armed conflicts as well as to put an end to existing conflicts.
The World Forum on Peace and Security creates regularly peace committees composed of fellows of the forum, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, former reputable diplomatic persons, politicians…etc. in order to attempt to hold negotiations between parts of conflicts and potential conflicts around the world.
The World Forum on Peace and Security was founded in 2021 by:
Klaus Buchner: Former Member of European Parliament and University Professor of Physics.
Mahmoud Refaat: President of the European Institute for International Law and Secretary General of the World Forum on Peace and Security.
James Bacchus: Professor of World Affairs and Director of the Center for World Economic and Environmental Opportunity at the University of Central Florida. He was a founding judge and was twice the Chairman – the chief judge – of the highest court of world trade, the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. And former member of USA congress.
The World Forum on Peace and Security is an international organization headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden and Washington DC, United States of America with presence in several areas in particular in conflict areas as the Middle East. Founded in 2022, The World Forum on Peace and Security is to provide an international platform that advances peace, security, and sustainable development through innovative collaboration, expert-driven solutions, and inclusive dialogue.
